In previous years, qualifiers were held both online remote and onsite in Kansas.
New for 2018 TOC, all qualifier events are remote tournaments.
2018 Qualifier Schedule. Two-week intervals across 5 Saturdays:
• June 30, 2018
• July 14, 2018
• July 28, 2018
• August 11, 2018
• August 25, 2018
How to Register?
You register for the event in your player account if:
- you have earned a qualifier voucher and,
- the voucher has been assigned to you
When will my voucher be assigned to me?
The PPD will begin assigning vouchers after the point season ends on July 14.
Maximum Darts may begin assigning MAX TOC vouchers to players prior to June 30 for players that have earned enough points to be guaranteed a voucher on July 14.
In the event of a tight points race, vouchers can only be issued after July 14 once the point season ends.
Does it matter which qualifier event I register for?
Once a player has qualified for the Elite Finale they are guaranteed entry into the event and NOT allowed to compete in any additional qualifiers.
Any player that does NOT qualify to the Elite may:
- register for the Gold Finale
- choose to play in an additional qualifier IF they hold additional vouchers
One strategy could be to wait until a later date in the hopes that the top skilled players have already qualified. This could backfire if all the players wait.
You just never know who will sign up for the same event, so realistically, just pick the date most convenient for you and play your best.
All Qualifier events are 32 player events. These are NOT flighted by skill level. It's a first-come first served registration. Any brackets not filled will be cancelled and registration fees refunded.
For this reason, it is ill-advised to wait until the last minute, especially on the last date of August 25.
